There Is A New Diet Out Called The Ice Cream Diet

By James Steele

The Ice Cream Diet certainly has managed to stir up a lot of talk, lately. What is supposed to happen is you follow the diet recommendations, eat daily ice cream, and you will lose weight. In order to determine whether this diet is for real or not, we decided to review it and tell you the benefits and disadvantages it has.

You'll quickly find out that the Ice Cream Diet recognizes the need for exercise on a frequent schedule. That could eliminate some people right away, as there are folks who don't want to exercise and thought all they had to do was watch the tube and eat ice cream. However, the fact is, anyone who claims you can lose weight without exercising is not telling you the truth and you should stay away from any such diets. The Ice Cream Diet in a nutshell - exercise five times per week each of about half an hour; healthy eating that is low calorie, and eating a small portion of ice cream each day as a reward. This diet plan actually will work, but you have to do what they tell you to do; then you can drop some pounds while you're enjoying a little ice cream each day.

Daily intake of calcium is important for optimum weight, plus it contributes to overall good health - just a little note about ice cream. It has also been shown that good calcium support makes the weight loss a bit easier to happen.

One thing we have to mention is that the name of the diet, Ice Cream Diet, can give people the wrong impression. Do keep in mind that this is a low-calorie based diet, even though it has the built-in daily ice cream treat factor. People who buy this book may think that they will be allowed to eat as much ice cream as they want, which is very far from the truth.

When you study and understand the Ice Cream Diet approach, it's clear that the ice cream added to it is more for the catchy name than any other reason. The calorie targets are: Men, no more than 2,000 cals/day; and Women, no more than 1,500 cals/day. Plus, it's important that you engage frequent and meaningful exercise. You'll be expected to factor in the ice cream calories in your daily limit. It's obvious that the "ice cream," or whatever you substitute is fine as long as you do everything else. So you can see that the ice cream in the Ice Cream Diet is purely for marketing reasons.

Will the Ice Cream Diet work? Sure it will, but you have to learn what it teaches and then adhere to what it has you do. But hey... no sneaking more of the cold, good stuff than you should - if you do, you know what will happen. The Ice Cream Diet can be an effective way to restrict the amount of calories you take in while still eating a food you enjoy, but only if you follow all of its suggestions.
