Knowing A Great Private Duty Nurse

By Lila Bryant

Every year people across the globe will find themselves caring for an older family member. When this event happens they will hire a private duty nurse to take care of the elder. Sometimes these workers will work very long hours since they are responsible for another human being. The family unit is always grateful to have such concerned individuals on their payroll.

There are quite a few individuals who have their elderly parents or grandparents living within their household. This great worker can feed, bathe, dress and take the older person for walks at anytime. Many older individuals may break certain parts of their body at times since they become very fragile with age. A woman who suffered from a broken hip had to hire a caregiver to help her with daily duties.

She took a great tumble within her house and could not do certain things on her own anymore. The pain that she felt was very excruciating and it seemed to go on for a long time. At times this woman could not sleep well at night since her back was aching all the time.

After hiring a home health worker things seemed to go much easier in her life. Her caregiver was able to do all of the tasks that she could no longer do on her own. The older woman was treated to a nice hot bath when she got out of bed in the morning. During the daytime hours this worker also prepared a healthy breakfast for this senior woman. The meals were always very healthy.

The old woman ate this meal with great satisfaction. In the early afternoon the worker and her patient went for a walk in the park for several hours. The caretaker would usually push this senior in a wheelchair that was furnished by the agency.

There was one area in this park that they both loved dearly and it provided a sitting area. The women gave food to all of the pigeons that stopped by to visit with them. It warmed their hearts to know that they were doing such a huge favor for some of God's majestic creatures.

Before going back to the house these ladies made it part of their plan to stop by the grocery shop. They could pick all of the food items that they needed for a great meal. This caretaker knew that she was giving great services to this senior who was in need. The meal was delightful and was prepared in the correct manner. Afterwards the older woman was done for this night.

Their friendship had just started and it seemed as though it would go on for a lifetime. In another part of the world a very cranky old man had to obtain assistance from a provider. This was an old man who did not like to have people waiting on him and he could be very stubborn at times. He was also a person with dementia. His family had become very tired of this situation.
